Bunker Breach is a fast, brutal top-down WW2 shooter, heavily inspired by Wolfenstein 3D and Hotline Miami. You are an Allied commando behind enemy lines: break out of a dungeon cell in a Nazi castle, cross the Alps, take an armoured train, get inside an SS camp and finish it on the roof of a flak tower over a burning Berlin.

Shoot Nazis, find secrets, break the Reich!

Five episodes, 25 floors

  • Episode 1: Escape from Burg Eisenwald
The lower castle, the officers' wing, the cellar labs, the rail yard and the Kommandant's hall.
  • Episode 2: Festung Kaltstahl
The mountain pass, the U-boat pen, the rocket factory, the deep bunker and the proving ground.
  • Episode 3: Eisenbahn-Depot Schwarzwald
The gatehouse, the coal vaults, the signal tower, the engine shed and the armoured train.
  • Episode 4: Lager Schwarze Sonne
The fence grid, the barracks, the execution courtyard, the vivisection labs and the furnace complex.
  • Episode 5: Flakturm Zitadelle
The citadel gate, the steel garrison, the SS quarters, the shell storage and the command roof.

Every episode opens with its own painted briefing and ends on its own painting.

Every floor is a real building: dungeon cells, banquet halls and U-boat pens, signal boxes and a roundhouse with its turntable, camp barracks and tiled labs, furnace halls and flak-tower quarters. Every room has hand-made textures, and there are more than 340 props and structures. Glass shatters, you can see and shoot through fences, stairs connect the floors of a building, and dark vaults are lit only by lamps, fire and acid.

How it plays

Fast and lethal. Most enemies go down in one or two hits, and you don't last much longer if you get careless. Aim down the sights for accuracy, look further ahead with Shift, dodge-roll through a doorway.

You only see what you can see. Your vision is a cone toward your aim, cut off by walls and tall cover, and enemies outside it are hidden. It works the same for them: they only know where you are while they can see you. Gunfire and footsteps bring them looking, officers ring the alarm, radio officers blow their whistles, and when they lose you they flank and search.

Use cover. Sandbags, desks and benches are waist high. Up against them you fire over them; crouched right behind them you're protected. Flip a table onto its edge to make your own. Enemies hold their cover too.

Sneak, kick, take them down. Sneak with silent footsteps and take a guard down from behind, kick a door open or a man off balance, knock a shield aside, blind a room with smoke and walk in.

The world is interactive. Search furniture for ammo, food and loot, crack safes and strongboxes, and hide in wardrobes, lockers and coffins. Cut the alarm lines, steal Enigma code books, and put a record on the gramophone to lure a guard away. Pull levers, fit fuses and plant charges. Pervitin, Schnapps, Adrenalin, morphine or Scho-Ka-Kola give you a short edge.

Every hit counts. Where a bullet hits matters: limbs come off, men crawl, bleed and burn, and the floor remembers every drop.

4 difficulty levels, from Recruit to Kalter Stahl ("You will die. A lot."). Quicksave and quickload anywhere.
